How to Solve the Problem?

If you are infertility, you might need to find out the problem that causes infertility. Either is your problem or your husband problem. As the problem that listed at above, now you must solve the problem according the problem.

For sperm problem: Sperm will be collected by doctor. The volume of the semen is measured by checking the color and consistency of semen are normal or not. If the semen is abnormal, the analysis will be repeated. If the semen still is abnormal, doctor will try to identify the problem. Test of sperm function and quality can be performed.

Clomiphene, a drug used to increase sperm count in men, but it does not improve the sperm’s ability to move or reduce the number of abnormal sperm. It is only suitable for men who low sperm count with normal sperm.
For men who cannot produce sperm by themselves, inseminating the woman with sperm from another man will be considered, but it is a risk to the child, because you might not know what is the genetic disease of the donor man will inherit to your future children.

For Ovulation problem: The doctor might ask women to take her temperature at rest (basal body temperature) to determine when is ovulation is occurring. The best time to do this is immediately after wake up in the morning. If the basal body temperature increases 0.5˚C, it shows that ovulation occurs. But the result might not reliable. More accurate kits can be used, such as: ultrasonography and ovulation predictor kits by detecting the increase of luteinizing hormone in urine 24 to 36 hours before ovulation.

If ovulation does not occur in long time, clomiphene with medroxyprogesterone (drug) will be suggested to the women, to trigger a menstrual period. Clomiphene is not effective for aa couses of ovulation problem. It is most effective when the cause is polycystic ovary syndrome. Side effects of clomiphere include hot flashes, abnormal bloating, breast tenderness, nausea, vision problems, and headache.

If a woman does not become pregnant after treatment with clomiphene, she will be suggested to try hormonal therapy with human gonatropins, injected into a muscle or under skin. It will help to stimulate the follicles of the ovaries to mature. Blood test will be done to measure the estrogen levels, and ultrasonography will be used to detect when is the follicles are mature.
If the cause of infertility is early menopause, neither clomiphene and human gonadotropin can stimulate ovulation.
